Our Core Skills in Events programme is ideal for you if you’re looking to develop transferrable employability skills needed in the workplace.

If you’re looking to develop these soft skills for moving into employment, training, education or work experience, then this programme is well suited. It’s designed by people within this industry sector with the aim of you developing an understanding surrounding event delivery and included specific skills in how to deliver a sustainable working event.

You will cover a variety of topics needed in the work place today through both workshop and practical learning.

We work with an array of support partners in the private and public sector, universities and colleges to ensure we can guide you as you move onto a positive destination on completion of our programme.

What Will I learn?

During your 3 half day sessions you will experience and learn how to:

Create a basic marketing plan
Sell yourself
Organise an event and prioritise
Raise funds
Promote yourself through social media including, how not to
Create an event site plan

You will also gain softer skills from presenting your ideas, working as part of a team, building your confidence, learn effective listening and communications techniques plus work experience at Stirling Highland Games.
